The BVS8001 is a line-interactive UPS from APC by Schneider Electric that delivers 800 VA / 450W of protected power in a tower chassis. It keeps a computer, router, POS till or CCTV recorder online through outages while filtering the everyday surges and sags that shorten equipment life.

The Easy UPS BV approach

At the heart of the BVS8001 is an AVR stage that corrects voltage on the fly. Because most disturbances are handled without discharging the battery, the BVS8001 preserves runtime for real blackouts. USB or serial communication then allows a safe, automatic shutdown of attached systems.
