APC 1600VA Easy UPS BVX, 1.6KVA BVX1600LI

Built around a line-interactive core, the BVX1600LI provides 1600 VA / 900W of clean backup power. In practice, APC’s tower unit gives a workstation, POS terminal, router and peripherals enough runtime to ride through a cut or shut down safely.

Power protection and design

Rather than convert power continuously, the BVX1600LI watches the line and steps in when needed. Its AVR boosts sags and trims surges without touching the battery, and if mains fails the BVX1600LI transfers to battery within a few milliseconds. An LCD or indicator panel shows load and status.

Ideal applications

• Everyday computing that mainly needs outage cover and voltage correction — line-interactive AVR handles common sags and swells cheaply and reliably.
• A busy single workstation plus its network gear — 900W leaves margin for a monitor, router and external drives.
