The SMT3000IC from APC by Schneider Electric is a tower uninterruptible power supply rated 3000 VA / 2700W. Using a line-interactive design, it protects servers, workstations, POS clusters and networking racks against outages, surges and voltage swings.

Technology and build

At the heart of the SMT3000IC is an AVR stage that corrects voltage on the fly. Because most disturbances are handled without discharging the battery, the SMT3000IC preserves runtime for real blackouts. USB or serial communication then allows a safe, automatic shutdown of attached systems.
