Bixolon SRP-275III
The Bixolon SRP-275III is a 3-inch impact dot-matrix receipt printer built for environments where thermal printers struggle. Because it strikes an inked ribbon rather than using heat, the SRP-275III keeps printing clearly in hot, humid or greasy conditions, and it can print on multi-ply paper to produce instant duplicate copies.
Overview
At its core, the SRP-275III uses a 9-pin serial impact mechanism that prints at up to 5 lines per second. While this is slower than thermal models, the trade-off is durability and the ability to print carbon-copy receipts, which matters in kitchens and back-office workflows.
In addition, the SRP-275III accepts standard 76mm paper rolls up to 83mm in diameter and uses the widely available ERC-38 ribbon cartridge, so running costs stay predictable.
Best Suited For
- Restaurant and bar kitchens — the impact head keeps printing in heat and steam where thermal paper fades, so kitchen order tickets stay legible.
- Businesses needing duplicate receipts — because it supports multi-ply paper, the SRP-275III prints an original and a copy in a single pass.
- Low to medium volume retail and service counters — the rugged mechanism suits sites that value reliability over peak speed.
