IDP Smart 51 S
The IDP Smart 51 S is a single-sided ID card printer from the Smart 51 series, designed for organisations that issue plastic cards in volume. Using direct dye-sublimation printing, the Smart 51 S produces edge-to-edge, photo-quality cards for staff IDs, membership and access cards.
Overview
The Smart 51 S prints full colour at 300 dpi, and at 600 or 1200 dpi for monochrome detail. Thanks to an automatic 100-card input hopper and rated speeds of up to 720 monochrome or 212 colour cards per hour, the Smart 51 S keeps card issuance moving. Furthermore, it connects over USB and Ethernet, and it can be fitted with optional magnetic-stripe or smart-card encoders as needs grow.

- Schools, gyms, clubs and companies — the Smart 51 S issues single-sided student, member and staff IDs at a low per-card cost.
- Medium to high volumes — the 100-card hopper and up to 720 cards/hour throughput suit batch printing.
