The SecuGen Unity 20 Bluetooth is the world’s first fully programmable Bluetooth fingerprint reader, built for mobile biometric enrollment and authentication without cables or OTG adapters. It pairs with Apple iOS or Android devices — smartphones, tablets, or Bluetooth-enabled PCs — to securely transfer fingerprint data wirelessly, and is small enough to carry in a pocket while remaining comfortable to hold in one hand. The reader is FBI Certified, meeting FIPS 201 (PIV) and Mobile ID FAP 20 requirements, with test data reviewed by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division. A built-in 1 GHz CPU, MINEX-compliant fingerprint algorithms, and OpenSSL cryptography allow the device to capture, process, and match fingerprints entirely on-device — encrypted fingerprint templates never need to leave the reader for enhanced security. Its reversible design means either party can scan a fingerprint without needing to turn the device around.
