Built around a line-interactive core, the Smart-UPS C provides 1000 VA / 600W of clean backup power. In practice, APC’s rack-mountable unit gives a workstation, POS terminal, router and peripherals enough runtime to ride through a cut or shut down safely.
Power conditioning explained
Rather than convert power continuously, the Smart-UPS C watches the line and steps in when needed. Its AVR boosts sags and trims surges without touching the battery, and if mains fails the Smart-UPS C transfers to battery within a few milliseconds. An LCD or indicator panel shows load and status.
